Including Pemi-Baker Literacy in Your Will or Trust
A bequest made under your will or trust is a practical way to provide meaningful financial support to help secure Pemi-Baker Literacy’s future. There are two simple ways to remember PBL in your will:
SPECIFIC BEQUEST
A specific bequest directs a fixed dollar amount or particular assets, such as securities or other property.
RESIDUARY BEQUEST
A residuary bequest directs all or a percentage of the remainder of your estate, after specific gifts to other beneficiaries have been fulfilled. No percentage amount is too small and any amount can make a significant impact on the our work.
The following is sample language for an unrestricted gift:
I give and bequeath to Pemi-Baker Literacy, a not-for-profit
organization whose address is 258 Highland St, Plymouth NH 03264, the sum of $________ [all or ___% of the remainder of my estate] to be used for the general purposes of the organization at the discretion of its Board of Directors.
